 What will Hopwood House do for me? 

Hopwood House provides temporary accommodation for men and women in a safe and secure environment. We help you to work through the issues related to your alcohol use and help you find more permanant housing.

 Is Hopwood House for me? 

Hopwood House is for you if:

• You are aged between 18 - 65
and
• Are concerned about your alcohol use and how this is affecting you
and
• are homeless or insecurely housed

 How do I get a bed at Hopwood House? 

You don’t need to be receiving any other type of help or support to access Hopwood House. Ring us for an informal chat on 01782 271014.

However if you are living in a hostel or have a probation officer, social worker, CPN or health worker then speak to them about Hopwood House and ask them to refer you in.

We will ask you to complete an application form and attend an informal meeting. Together we will talk about your needs and help you to decide if Hopwood House is right for you.

We will provide you with a room of your own, shared bathroom facilities, kitchen and a communal lounge. You are responsible for your own food shopping and cooking.

With your support worker you will design your own personal action plan based in what you want to achieve. This could include help with:

• substance misuse
• mental health issues
• physical health
• finding permanent accommodation
• finding education, training and activities that interest you
• meeting new people and reconnect with friends and family

Your support worker will meet with you regularly to make sure that the help you are getting is right for you.
