New Days is a partnership between Brighter Futures and North Staffs Mind.
What is New Days?
New Days offers support to people who feel isolated and may have concerns about their mental health.
New Days team members are able to help you identify the things you want to improve and support you in doing so. We can meet you at a place where you feel most comfortable and talk to you about opportunities for your involvement in a range of activities, support groups or friendships that may help.
Is New Days for me?
The service is designed to help anyone who has concerns about their mental health. You might be suffering from anxiety, stress, isolation, a bereavement or family crisis. You may also be a carer who needs some support.
New Days is available for anyone living in the Borough of Newcastle-under-Lyme. If you live outside Newcastle and have concerns about your mental health please contact us to find out about what else we can offer.
As a customer of New Days, you are also a member of the Clubhouse Network and you are welcome to visit any of the Clubhouses within the network: The American, The Observatory and twentyfourSEVEN.
How does it work?
You will have your own support team member who will give you the support that you need. They will arrange to meet you somewhere you feel comfortable. This could be your own home, a local cafe, a Brighter Futures Clubhouse, a Mind Social Support Group or somewhere else. With our help you will design your own personal action plan based on what you want to achieve. We will then meet you regularly to support you with your plan.
We will then find groups, training courses or activities that you want - or we’ll arrnage them ourselves - and if you have an interest or a skill to share then this could be your opportunity!
