Brighter Futures Academy has recently submitted an assessment application to the CPD Standards Office for twenty of the delivered courses to receive formal accreditation recognition. The application was successful and we are delighted to inform you that the courses listed below have now received formal CPD accreditation.
This accreditation means that Brighter Futures Academy is now an official registered provider with the CPD Standards Office, and has received a dedicated accredited mark, with learners attending these courses formally recording CPD hours against a national standard.
Testament to the high standard of the application, the Academy received no specific improvements or recommendations to teaching practice or documentation, which demonstrates the high standard of quality assurance already in place. This is a fantastic development opportunity for the Academy to position itself against other training providers in the area, as well as setting the standard for more courses in the future.
The courses below have now received formal CPD accreditation:
An Introduction to Personality Disorders
Introduction to Leadership & Management
Introduction to Trauma
Foundation in Support Work
Equality & Diversity
Critical Incident Stress Management
Understanding Eating Disorders

Introduction to Planning & Delivering Learning Sessions

On Friday 30th September staff at Brighter Futures took part in the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning. Lots of cakes were baked and eaten all to raise money for the national cancer charity. To help add to the fundraising Chris Herbert, Brighter Futures Director of Business Development “Braved The Shave.” and shaved his hair and beard off!
All in all we raised £181.56
In July, Brighter Futures went on the James Watt show on BBC Radio Stoke to take part in the quiz “Watts The Answer”.
Each day we were given five questions and an hour to find the answers. Thanks to some fantastic team work from everybody across the organisation, customers and volunteers (as well as help from staff members parents) we managed to get full marks 25/25.
Since then it’s been a nervous wait to see if we were series champions. Today we found out the exciting news that nobody was going to be able to beat our score in this current run and we are champions.
We would like to thank James and Susan at BBC Radio Stoke for inviting us to take part in the quiz and of course a massive thank you goes to everybody who helped us with the answers.
