Complex Needs Research

Brighter Futures involved in new research

We are very excited to be involved in some new research to be carried out with people who have complex needs. The research is being carried out by CRESR from Sheffield Hallam University and will focus on people who are homeless, people who have drug or alcohol problems, people who are offenders with violent behaviour and women in street prostitution.

The consultants from CRESR have worked on high profile, national projects across the various customer groups and as such are well qualified to complete this work.

Women’s Services, 90 Hope Street and the Rough Sleeper’s Team, along with Emma Robertson, Customer Involvement Manager, will be involved in supporting people to take part in the research.

The research team will carry out 150 questionnaires and 45 interviews and the customers involved will be paid for their time.

The research is being conducted in conjunction with Supporting People and the organisations in the Stoke-on-Trent area that help people who may fall into these categories.

The conclusion of the research will offer recommendations for improvements and highlight gaps in services, the research should be completed by March 2009.
