Brighter Futures is inviting people living and working in Meir to join them for a free Community Meal on Thursday 12 March.
The event will take place from 12:00pm at the Meir Community Education Centre and people will be able to learn about Brighter Futures services and changing lives through its support for people with mental health issues, experience or at risk of homelessness and other multiple and complex needs.
Doors will be open from 11:30am – with food served shortly afterwards. People will also be asked to take part in a survey for Sanctuary Housing and take part in activities throughout the event. Proceedings will last until around 1:30pm.
Brighter Futures twice hosted a community meal in 2019 – with around 150 people enjoying a meal on both occasions. All food, for both events, was prepared by the non-for-profit organisation’s Catering Network.
Sharon Godwin, Manager of the Brighter Futures Clubhouse Network, says: “We’re very pleased to host this event again, so we hope people come along and enjoy it. It’s not very often you get a good quality free meal, meet people who live in your community and learn more about a local organisation.
“We hosted a community meal in November to celebrate our 45th anniversary and that was really well supported. Hopefully, we’ll get more of the same.”
Brighter Futures is a leading provider in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and the West Midlands for providing expert and professional help through support services and accommodation.
