Brighter Futures is inviting people living and working in Meir to join them for a free Community Meal on Thursday 14 November.
Taking place at the Meir Community Education Centre, the event will recognise Brighter Futures’ 45th anniversary of changing lives through its support for mental health issues, people who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness, and other multiple and complex needs.
Doors will be open from 12:00pm – with people invited to learn more about the Clubhouse Network, get free advice from ‘Beat the Cold’ about staying healthy, keeping warm and saving money during the winter months, and take part in activities throughout the event. Proceedings will last until around 1:30pm.
Brighter Futures also hosted a community meal at the Meir Community Education Centre in May, with around 150 people enjoying a meal produced by the not-for-profit organisation’s Catering Network.
Chief Executive, Helena Evans, says: “We’re very pleased to be celebrating 45 years as an organisation, so we hope people come along and enjoy the event. It’s a really good opportunity to learn more about a local organisation whilst spending time with people in your community.
“We hosted a community meal in May and that was really well supported. Hopefully, we’ll get more of the same!”
Brighter Futures is a leading provider in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and the West Midlands for providing expert and professional help through support services and accommodation.
