Brighter Futures would like to thank YMCA North Staffordshire NCS Team Eight for their support of our Housing First service.

The group fundraised and donated boxes of household essentials to support our customers to set up a new home.

The kind donation includes dinner plates, cleaning materials, and basic cooking ingredients.

Housing First Stoke-on-Trent Manager, Jane Turner, says: “We’re so grateful for what they’ve done. It can be a daunting experience starting up in your own home, especially when you’ve been homeless for a long time, but this gives people one less thing to worry about when they first move in.

“We pride ourselves on the support we offer, and the more confident people are in their accommodation, the better equipped they are to work with us to address other issues they have.”

Brighter Futures is a leading provider across the Midlands for Housing First – a new approach to tackling homelessness for people whom traditional homelessness services do not work.
