We are seeking to build a pool of Multi Site Relief Workers to support across our services, this may include the Rough Sleepers Team, Duty Team Members at Homelessness Accommodation, Hanley Connect, Orchid Women’s Services and the Night Shelters.

Homelessness Accommodation Team Leader

We are looking for a Homelessness Accommodation Team Leader, to oversee the day-to-day management of Brighter Futures homelessness accommodation covering Stoke-on-Trent and/or Newcastle-under-Lyme, supporting individuals living in Brighter Futures’ homeless hostel and next steps accommodation. The role involves working with individuals who have complex needs and are at risk of homelessness.

Night Worker (Temp until March 2026)

We are looking for a Night Worker to join our team. You will be based at one of our residential schemes within the Stoke on Trent area and will play a key role in delivering housing and support services to customers who have been referred through the Local Authority and other service providers, ensuring appropriate safeguarding protocols are adhered to.

You will be the night-time guardian for our tenants, ensuring that only approved visitors may enter the building, remaining constantly alert for their safety and welfare during your working hours.

Duty Team Member (Days)

We are looking for a Duty Staff Member to assist customers with complex needs to benefit from the support offered by our shared housing units, which are staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Provide a safe environment at in the day, maintaining the safety and security of customers and colleagues. And, deliver a customer facing support service in line with Brighter Futures standards.

Assertive Caseworker

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will work with a small caseload of customers based in Brighter Futures Homelessness Hostel and next steps accommodation. You will support customer access to a wide range of statutory sector, voluntary sector, and other services that are appropriate to their needs, co-working with other service providers/ colleagues working with the customer.

Working with customers to assess their needs, you will jointly design and deliver a service support plan for customers intended to achieve their hopes and aspirations (using the SMART strengths based toolkit). In doing so, you will advocate the case for customer access through the available service systems by encouraging a focus on their strengths and assets as appropriate. You will also be working closely with frontline staff providing services to your customers to better support service interventions.

Our Rough Sleeper Team operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. To report someone sleeping rough in Newcastle-under-Lyme or Stoke-on-Trent, please call us for free on the number below.

Our Rough Sleeper team take care of homeless people by providing them with warm drinks and food.
