APPLY FOR HOUSING

We encourage you to apply through Destination Homes, which allows you to submit one application for multiple supported housing providers, saving you time and effort.

Application Process

We encourage you to apply through Destination Homes, which allows you to submit one application for multiple supported housing providers, saving you time and effort.

If you prefer to apply directly to us, you can self-refer by completing the Referral Form and sending it to referrals@brighter-futures.org.uk

Once we receive your application, we will review it to ensure there is a support need beyond homelessness or risk of homelessness. If your application meets this criterion, we will determine the best housing option for you on our Housing Pathway.

When a property becomes available, our dedicated Housing Sustainment Worker for that property will review the list of applicants, conduct interviews, and perform a risk assessment to ensure that the property meets your needs and that you meet the criteria.

In some cases, applicants with specific needs may be prioritised for certain types of accommodation. For example, this could include a need for door management assistance or level access accommodation. These needs are assessed based on the information provided in your application and during the interview process.

If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to view the property and, if suitable, sign both an occupancy agreement and a support provision agreement. After signing the occupancy agreement, your Housing Sustainment Worker will meet with you during your first week to complete your first Hope Plan.
