JOIN US!
Join us for a night under the stars on Friday 26th September to support Hanley Connect and raise awareness of homelessness in Stoke-on-Trent!
Your support will help provide Winter essentials to rough sleepers and those facing homelessness across the city.
To get a real sense of what rough sleepers go through night after night, the Sleep Out will take place on the grass of Smithfield, Hanley. You will need cardboard to bed down on, a sleeping bag, a sense of community, and a willingness to make a difference for the most vulnerable people in our community.
There will be entertainment and activities from 7:00 pm – 10:30 pm, with ‘quiet time’ taking taking place from 11:00 pm – 5:30am and breakfast baps at 5:30am.
Proud to be in partnership with Staffordshire Police, the Regent Theatre, Victoria Hall, Smithfield Works, Stoke Centenary, BID Team, and Stoke-on-Trent City Council.

You will need to bring cardboard to sleep on and whatever you need to make yourself more comfortable, we suggest: a sleeping bag, a pillow, warm layers, a phone, torch, snacks, water, a book. Strictly no tents (that’s cheating!)
What happens on the night of the Sleep Out
Come anytime after 7:00pm and we will begin with entertainment until 10:30. Followed by a night of rough sleeping, breakfast baps will be served from 6:30am.
How much money shall I raise?
We encourage participants to try to raise £50 each however, please don’t worry if you are unable to raise this – every penny counts!
