At Brighter Futures, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe and secure in their home and community. Anti-Social Behaviour Week (ASB) is a chance to shine a light on the work being done to make this a reality, and the steps we’re taking to support our customers.
Throughout ASB week, we’ve been sharing the progress we’ve made, how we respond to ASB, and how we’re teaming up with customers and partners to make a change.
Since October 2024, we have:
- Launched the Access, Sustainment, and Enforcement Team
- Funded two Resolve BTEC courses
- Rolled out Janine Green’s eLearning resources (for relevant staff)
- Taken an active role in local policing partnership meetings
- Engaged with colleagues from Communities of Practice (Expert Citizens) to support continuous improvement in collaborative working
- Continual partnership working that our Homelessness Colleagues and Commissioned Services teams do to manage expectations and address issues promptly
This helps ensure our teams are informed, proactive and ready to support customers when they need us the most.
Over the past week, we even teamed up with customers for community litter picks at 90 Hope Street and Hillcrest Street…and even enjoyed well-deserved ice lolly at the end! 🍦 .
We also introduced our Access, Sustainment and Enforcement Team, Jess and Tori. Their role is all about working directly with customers and communities to listen and respond to ASB concerns with fair solutions for everyone. They offer intensive, person-centred support, to not only resolve issues but also help stabilise lives and prevent the loss of accommodation.
Earlier this year, our satisfaction scores weren’t where we wanted them to be. But with the renewed focus and the work of our new team, we’ve seen major improvements.
We are proud to share that:
- Satisfaction with case handling has risen from 74.36% to 89.58%.
- Satisfaction with case outcomes has increased from 73.72 to 93.75%
Tackling Anti-social behaviour doesn’t stop after one awareness week, and neither does our commitment. We will keep improving and being a proactive partner to build better, safer communities together.
